Superintendent Hurst and Malia Morris (10th grade at BHS) attended the CADCA National Youth Leadership Forum at National Harbor, Maryland. Ms. Morris is a member of the Washington Parish Youth Coalition, and she had the opportunity to represent BHS by speaking to Senator Bill Cassidy and Representative Julia Letlow on the effects of substance abuse and drugs on the mental health of her peers in her school and community. She represented Bogalusa well. Dr. Hurst's goal is to expose more students to these opportunities.
